How NOT to acidify your food and eat healthy

Whether or not the author can find out what you are, anyone can surely diagnose what your body’s condition is, with the kind of food that you intake. Acid-Alkaline balance is indispensable for maintaining good health. If you are into acidic foods than alkaline-rich foods, you are definitely in for trouble. Apart from resulting in chronic illnesses and critical diseases, acidifying foods can cause mild to severe fevers, aches and other problems.
Do not acidify your food: Often, we do this. We acidify our body without our knowledge. Be it that hot pizza or that calorie-rich burger, we are in for serious trouble if we do not keep a watch on what we take as food. Even a single day of junk food can deplete our alkaline reserves and tilt our body’s pH to the acidic side. So, what acidifies our food, actually?
An acidic diet is almost similar to Atkins diet – high protein, high fat, but low carbohydrates diet. Apart from the weight gain factor, an Atkins-like diet is detrimental to our body even gastronomically speaking. It is low on energy and causes frequent burnouts, depleting our alkaline reserves. To maintain an ideal, above-seven pH, we need to take more of raw stuff - like vegetables, fruits and foods with very low meat or oil content. Natural, raw diet with minimal fat content is non-acidic food.
Why acidic foods are detrimental: You will acidify your body if you plan go on an all-meat or all-junk food even for half a day. When the acid residue in your body increases, your body’s health deteriorates and trouble starts creeping in. An ideal acid-alkaline balanced diet is one which has 80% alkaline content and 20% acidic content. Since the body’s alkaline-acid ratio is 4:1, our food intake should also be of a similar kind. Acidic foods also deplete your energy reserves and reduce your body’s alkaline minerals like potassium, calcium, magnesium causing your immune system to drop dead defenceless. Acidic foods also add up to your body weight, increase stress and even cause constant minor ailments like nasal congestion, weak nails, dryness, headaches, muscle pains, hive and joint pains etc. Even fevers can be a result of acidifying foods.
Eat healthy: Your food determines what you are and what you will become in your old age. If you feel tired often or experience heart palpitations frequently, remember there is some problem with your food. Any upset in your body, mild or chronic, can be traced back to acid alkaline imbalance. When untreated, the continuous build up of toxins and acid wastes in your body can lead to something highly critical and chronic like cancers or osteoporosis. So, let eating healthy be your topmost priority.
Add a lot of alkaline foods in your diet. These include minerals like magnesium, calcium and potassium; vegetables and fruits like lemons, apples, mangoes and spinach; intake of ionized water, and low oil and low fat food. Even lost health can be regained if you take alkaline diet for a longer period. Basically, such a diet restores body’s pH balance and sets all things right, making you energetic and livelier than ever.
